TASK 1

Create three posters about REUSE, REDUCE and RECYCLE

* Work in pairs.
*  Describe what it means
* Give some advice about how to accomplish them
* Use pictures to enhance your final product.
* Use publisher, word or paint to create your posters.
* Send the posters to your teacher's e-mail: misstania.boston@gmail.com
* You must print two copies of your posters and hang them around the school in order to encourage people to follow the 3 R's.

* Content (All three posters were sent in)
* Information (Each poster contains all the required information)
* Mechanics and Vocabulary (NO grammar or spelling mistakes and vocabulary is accurate )
* Creativity (Posters are creative enough to attracts people's attention)
* Visuals (Images are quite good and enhance the poster content)
* Classwork (The students work hard during the two - hour lesson)
* Putting up (Posters are hung up around the school)

Creating my own business

CREATING A BUSINESS INSTRUCTIONS 

(CUARTO MEDIO GRECIA)

You will be working in groups of 2 - 4  for this project.

You will work class after class in a different assignment. 

You will have a week to give your teacher a final copy of your Class task.

Each student is responsible for reporting / telling the teacher what he/she did in each class period. They must include the task report when sending the document. 

Think about the different kinds of businesses in the Chimbarongo - San Fernando area. You will have to decide on what type of business you are going to start. 

You may not start any type of establishment that deals with alcohol, or any type of “club”. 

You may use the Internet to get ideas. Your teacher has final approval on your choice.

ASSIGMENT 1 

Every item needs a detailed explanation.

Write a business proposal using the format: Double-spaced text with headings in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS. It must contain all of the information listed below. 

1. Name of your business

2. Hours you will be open

3. What do you do? (Fix, sell, build, feed, serve, help?)

4. Location of the business. Is it a small, rural community or a large, urban community? Where in the town will you be located? Actually choose a location. Explain why that

location will be good for your business.

5. Identify the competition in your business area and location. Describe and Explain how the competition is 

6. How many employees will you need? You must have at least 3. What specific positions

will these employees hold? Give details.

7. Why do you think your business will succeed?

8. Graphics/Visuals to help convey your ideas—could be photos, organization chart, map, etc. 

Due date: Monday, October 2nd (Bring a printed copy of the Business Proposal)

EVALUATION

1. Organization (Well constructed / paragraphs/ heading and subheadings)

2. Amount of information (All topics are included and each description contains more than four sentences)

3. Content and Information (The information provided is valuable and answers the questions)

4. Mechanics (No grammar or spelling mistakes)

5. Vocabulary (All vocabulary included is correct and accurate)

6. Diagrams and illustrations (The graphics included are good quality and helps the reader to understand the information)

7. Professionalism (The final outcome looks perfect and it is turned in on the date or before it)
